The company was founded in 2002 as an Open Source research group engaged in development of the software protection tools, so-called antidecompilers. These antidecompilers encrypt executable/binary code contained in jar (Java) or swf (Flash/Flex/ActionScript) files so reverse engineering of them becomes impossible. A year ago the company was divided into two units, namely, BIS Guard Association, the main theoretical and strategic center, and BIS Guard & Co., responsible for the practical implementation of the protection algorithms. Both BIS Guard Association and BIS Guard & Co. are headquartered in Ofra, northern suburbs of Jerusalem and located in the heart of Samaria, Israel.
